Knitting for left-handed people

How to knit if you are left-handed

I suggest you learn to pick, i.e. the so-called Continental method, because the effort is more evenly distributed between the left and right hand. In fact, you can choose to move the left hand rather than the right one when knitting this way.

I know a couple of people who have learnt to knit by reversing the motions. If you wish to do so, you can watch the videos through a mirror. However, I do not recommend this, since you will be knitting in the opposite direction from everyone else, i.e. you cannot have shared knitting projects, and you will need to read charts the “wrong” way.

I am not left-handed myself, but I would love to hear your feedback in the comments field below, if you have experiences with this issue.
